# Languages

### Multilingual

In the Essential version or higher, you have the possibility to translate your emails:

The multilingual option lets you create multiple versions of the same campaign when editing one.

You can specify here the default language, users will receive this version of your emails if you didn't create a version for their own preferred language.

The languages you select in the "Languages used" option will be available when creating a new campaign.

The option **Translate content** is for now only used for WordPress and allows you to translate automatically in the right language the posts and page content in your campaign with **Polylang** or **WPML**.

The default user language is the language that should be assigned to the user on subscription if there is no language field in the subscription form.

There are several [available languages](/setup/available-language.md) in AcyMailing and this listing displays your website's languages. For each language, you can edit the translation to [customize it](/setup/available-language/custom-translation.md).

Most of the language files are included in the package so during the AcyMailing installation process, the translations are automatically installed.

If the language is not included in the package, you can click on the "Plus" button for the latest version of this language to be loaded from our website. Then you simply have to save the language to have it on your website.

If AcyMailing is not translated in your language, you can easily [add a language file](/setup/available-language/translate-acymailing.md) in AcyMailing. Don't forget to share your translation so we can add it to the next release 😉
